In this day and age, it seems that you have two options when it comes to food. You can either take the time to meal prep, cook, and eat healthy at home, or be on the run and settle for fast food.
But what if you wanted the best of both worlds?
To eat healthy and to get a wide variety of foods in your diet, but to not have to worry about the time meal prepping and cooking takes, or doing the dishes after a long day, and a busy schedule.
Well, the good news is you can!
Naked FitFoods offers you both the convenience of fast food and it's HEALTHY! Our food is made fresh daily, it’s never frozen, it’s locally sourced, gluten-free, and our chefs properly proportion your meals every day so that you are getting the right amount of calories that you need for optimal health. We even deliver it right to your doorstep!
We think so, but we still constantly get the response that healthy meal plans are too expensive compared to unhealthy food options.
But are they?
The Huffington post says: “the most comprehensive study of its kind indicates that yes, unhealthy food is about $1.50 cheaper per day, or about $550 per year, than healthy food.”
“However, This price difference is very small in comparison to the economic costs of diet-related chronic diseases, which would be dramatically reduced by healthy diets," Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian, the study's senior author and associate professor at Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School, said in a press release.
And he’s right! With all of the hormones, antibiotics, sugar, and preservatives that they put in our food these days, it makes us fat and sick!
Unhealthy food is linked to global obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and different types of cancers, but I’m sure they don’t include those details in the low cost of your fast food meal.
So with that in mind, that extra $1.50 a day or $550 a year doesn’t seem like so much money after all.
The moral of the story is that just like the Chinese proverb says, “you are what you eat.” So with that in mind, healthy food is definitely the better option. The truth is that you can’t NOT afford to eat it!
And the good news is that healthy eating contributes to 5 immediate health benefits:
2.) Weight Control
3.) Good Health and Improved Longevity
4.) Improved mood
5.) Disease prevention
So maybe don’t focus so much on that extra $1.50 a day that you are saving, and focus on what is the best for you and your body.
What do you have to lose? Other than maybe those 5 pesky pounds you’ve been trying to get rid of…
